Eco Friendly Earth Therapeutics Body Sponge
Heidi Fiscus — August 24, 2010 - 7:47pm

With my quest to be 100% eco friendly I came across these body sponges at Earthfare made by Earth Therapeutics, 2 for $3 ... pretty cheap for an eco friendly body sponge. The sponge is made from recycled materials and is not your average pouf, the mesh sponge is super-dense, with an elastic strap to help you get a grip.
10 Uses for Olive Oil
Heidi Fiscus — July 28, 2010 - 7:03pm
Olive oil has tons of uses, not just for cooking purposes. Most people think they can only put it on salads or use it to fry eggs. I suggest getting 2 different bottles. 1 for cooking: extra virgin, cold pressed and 1 for other: inexpensive, domestic. You can use the expensive Greek or Italian Extra Virgin Olive Oil for cooking purposes and the less expensive olive oil for everything else.
Thinking back through the last a few years since I first started my healthy eating journey, I have seen olive oil used in many other ways. Here are a few ways you can use olive oil in your home:

So, you could say I am obsessed with learning new eco-friendly techniques to incorporate into our life (my husband and I). He loves it when I blurt out a new law we need to abide by. I continuously thank him for letting me be me and also abiding by the new rules. I love him for it! Here is a new rule in our household. I snagged this article from Natural Awakenings:

No-White-Trash Healthy Lifestyle

I have had a lot of inquiries lately about how James and I have lost so much weight, well, mostly inquires about James. People are stunned to learn he does NOT exercise regularly and eats a ton of food, REAL food that is.
I thought I would take some time to sit down to write a little bit about how we live and what we eat since it is radically different from the normal American diet. I also wanted to include some helpful links and ideas for recipes. Check out the comparison below, James before and now, after loosing 50 pounds!

New, Used Bedroom Furniture from Goodwill
Heidi Fiscus — October 2, 2009 - 5:09pm
We recently purchased a bedroom set at Goodwill in Mooresville, NC (the best around) for $150. Most people would not have looked twice at this furniture, but we could see the potential. It is solid wood, made here in North Carolina. We put $100 into it, including new modern hardware, black paint, and new rubber feet.
